There are few men who speak in such a way that their words are considered timeless. But A. W. Tozer, often called a "20th-century prophet," spoke with such spiritual insight that he deserves to be heard in the 21st century.
During his 44 years of Christian ministry as a pastor, writer, editor, and speaker, Dr. Tozer touched many lives beyond his own denomination. Three million copies of his books in print testify to the timeliness and timelessness of his communication.
As an aid to discipleship it is our pleasure to present excerpts from the writings of A. W. Tozer each day on the LMI site. Though these readings are primarily directed to Christian leaders—pastors, elders, deacons, Sunday school teachers, and Christian workers of all kinds—any Christian dedicated to thinking more biblically, serving the Lord more effectively, and knowing God more intimately will benefit.
