New Tract Line Begun
Late in October 2006 LMI took delivery of a tract entitled If We Never Meet Again. It’s the first of a proposed line of tracts to be written and designed with thought-provoking, user-friendly approaches intended to broaden literature evangelism.
If We Never Meet Again is tailor-made for the many contacts in our busy lives when it’s likely that we literally won’t see the same people twice. Yet the approach makes it an excellent means to redeem the time.
Veteran designer Dennis Davidson, who had never done a tract before, successfully captured the message of the tract graphically. That makes it even easier to use for tipping, commuting, toll paying traveling, and bill paying.
Though the text had already been written by LMI President Doug Salser, the design had stalled for weeks. That’s when Dennis discovered Doug’s card in his desk drawer (where it had been for three years!) and decided to call about future work. Thinking that God might “be up to something,” Doug met with Dennis two days later. Not only did they discover they were kindred spirits, within three hours of that meeting Dennis emailed the cover design concepts that are now in print!
The only way to understand this unusual timing is to accept it as God’s direct intervention in the publishing process. It reconfirmed that the Lord was ready for LMI to publish If We Never Meet Again, and that there’s an effective ministry ahead for it. Join us in using the tract for the kingdom of God!

July 31, 2006 2:15 PM “Thank you for your continued ministry to me. My son (38 years old) died by his own hand on 12 June and I'm finding coping difficult. I would appreciate your prayers and any suggestions you feel led to offer me.” Those are the first words received from Kathryn. Her email address showed she was writing from Australia.
You’re probably wondering, “What kind of continued ministry is she talking about?” It’s the daily ministry of A. W. Tozer, who has been with the Lord since 1963! Yet Kathryn and 8500 other readers around the world still benefit daily from Dr. Tozer’s thoughts through LMI’s “Insight for Leaders” free email subscription.
When LMI President Doug Salser replied, he attached a tract manuscript by Zig Ziglar, entitled “I Know You Are Hurting.” It was eventually to be published by an LMI client, but Kathryn needed its message right then. Her response? “Thank you for your prayers and particularly for the words of Zig Ziglar, [an author] I know well. I can't tell you what an answer you have been to my prayers. Thank you for your love towards me even without ever knowing me.”
Kathryn illustrates another reason for LMI’s online presence: we have a ministry of encouragement on six continents every day. Our web site is made possible by donations from people who believe in our approach to creating strategic evangelism and discipleship resources for our own use and the use of like-minded ministry partners.
LMI’s New Website Unveiled!
Our long-anticipated goal of a redesigned website has finally happened! All the major components were amazingly prepared by our web designer, Perry Brown (weavingtheweb.com), giving us an entirely new look and a much more navigable site.
With the site comes an excellent daily devotional entitled “Dare to Trust!” Like our Tozer devotional, this one can be read on our site at any time or subscribed to for free email distribution. “Dare to Trust!” is the work of retired businessman Ed Powell who shares from a full life how God has taught him through hardship, pain, joy, and triumph. It’s laced with Scripture and filled with challenges to trust God no matter what.
We also hope these devotionals will attract more readers to use our publications, including the new tract line that began this fall with If We Never Meet Again. The upgraded site also includes publications that are no longer available in print, but which can be downloaded for specific evangelism purposes. This section will expand as we add translations of our English tracts into languages that are not in demand in America, but can be downloaded and used overseas.
And under “Supplemental Materials” you’ll find resources that give further insight into subjects of our publications. For starters, Michael Craven’s article “Pornography: The Deconstruction of Human Sexuality” gives excellent background for those who plan to use our sexual purity booklets Triumph Over Temptation and Escape the Trap. With time we’ll be adding presentation tools as they become available.
